Stitching

Panoramas are built from many overlapping shots that incorporate the full 360 degrees. Images are overlapped and their perspective distorted until every point lines up - a process called stitching. This continues to the end where the last image is stitched to the first.

A Different Perspective

A panorama has no vanishing point. Although lines converge to the horizon there is no center. It can begin or end at any point.
